Chris is tasked with realising WREDA's vision for Wellington to be the most liveable, prosperous and vibrant city region in Australasia by 2025.

Chris comes to Wellington from South Africa, where he was most recently Chief Executive of Accelerate Cape Town, that region’s premier business leadership group.

Previously he was Chief Knowledge Officer for EY Asia-Pacific in Sydney, leading a team across the region.

Chris has worked extensively in strategy and business transformation in Africa and the Asia Pacific region, and has served on the Boards of Cape Town Design and Wesgro, the region’s trade, investment and tourism promotion agency.

A futurist by training, Chris has consulted extensively in:

• Enabling city and regional economic growth

• Strategic alignment, and the interaction of business, design and technology

• Foresight & 'ideal' futures development
